Useful Information

Giving feedback and reporting issues

During our meetings, we will focus on discussing improvements that can benefit everyone. Due to time constraints, we won’t be able to address issues with individual bus trips or stops. We strongly encourage you to report any problems directly to the service providers using the contact details below. If you don’t receive the assistance you need, please let us know, and we will do our best to help.

Feedback to bus operators

To report issues with bus services, ask about lost property, or get help with services and journey planning, talk to the relevant bus operator first. They are keen to learn from your experiences so that they can continue to improve services. Don’t forget to tell them about the things that work well!

Reporting problems with bus shelters

The majority of bus shelters are maintained by parish and borough councils.

For Eastbourne Borough

If the bus shelter is maintained by Eastbourne Borough Council, you can report graffiti and vandalism here.

For Wealden District,

For cleaning issues, you can contact recycling@wealden.gov.uk or call  01323 443322.
If the bus shelter is the responsibility of a parish or town council, you will find contact details for each town/parish council in Wealden here.

Clear Channel bus shelters

Some bus shelters are maintained under an advertising based contract with Clear Channel. To report a damaged bus shelter (broken glass, lights not working, vandalism etc.), contact Clear Channel in one of these ways:

When reporting a problem, you should include the following information:

  • The shelter’s 8-digit reference number, which usually starts with 4802
  • The location of the shelter
  • A description of the problem

Reporting problems with parking

If you find badly parked cars obstructing or delaying bus services, you should report this to East Sussex County Council parking team.

Bus Service Information

The main bus operators in the Eastbourne area are Stagecoach, Brighton & Hove Buses, Cuckmere Buses and Compass Travel. There are also Flexibus services in some of the villages and rural areas of Wealden.

Changes to bus services

Local bus operators also publish updates to services when last minute changes are made, for example when there are road closures and diversions. You can use the operator’s app to check your journey, or visit their websites.
