HOW WE WORK

We are collaborating with the Eastbourne Climate Coalition - which we are a member of - to set up a Climate Hub within central Eastbourne.
We are keen to use the Climate Hub to encourage local people to engage with climate action and to learn about sustainable living generally.

Our Action

planning an Eastbourne Climate Hub based on the model for Climate Hubs developed by the Climate Emergency Centres national network, and incorporating advice from already established Climate Hubs nearby, such as the Lewes Climate Hub and the Seaford Climate Hub.
creating a promotional video for a crowdfunding campaign for the Eastbourne Climate Hub
curating a programme of climate & eco themed events for the E-Hive Marquee during the E-Festival on Eastbourne’s seafront from July 29th to 31st 2022.
running a pop-up E-Hive in The Beacon shopping centre, 7 days a week, from 1st November to 13th December 2022.

Current Activity

Searching for premises

Securing the use of an easily accessible property in central Eastbourne in an area with a high footfall, such as a high street, is the highest priority.

In the meantime we will create temporary Climate Hub events at local festivals and eco events.
