20 is Plenty

20’s Plenty campaigns for a speed limit of 20mph to be normal in residential areas and in town and village centres, with exceptions where appropriate. As an apolitical body, we work with anyone wanting 20mph. We receive no government or political party funding.

Bespoke

Bespoke is a free, non-political group, passionate about cycling. We want to make it easier and safer for everyone to get around Eastbourne by bicycle. Eastbourne is a gateway to the South Downs National Park, with miles of mountain-bike trails, but conditions for cycling in the town centre, along the seafront and around schools could (and should) be better.

If cycling could be as safe and easy as in many European towns, then more people would see the benefits of cycling. There would be less pollution and more parking spaces for those who need to use a car. Bespoke campaigns for a network of safe continuous well-signposted cycle routes.

Bespoke supports cycling for everybody who might want to use a bicycle to get to work, school, university, shops, the pub, or just out and about.

Brighton & Hove Buses & Metrobus

At Brighton & Hove Buses we believe everyone has the right to travel with ease and comfort. Our purpose is to give those we serve the freedom to connect with the people and places they value most.

Brighton & Hove currently operate 222 buses across a network of 73 routes with 2,000 bus stops, serving the urban area of Brighton and Hove and connecting the city with Eastbourne, Lewes, and Tunbridge Wells. Metrobus our sister company currently operate 150 buses across 50 routes through Sussex, Surrey and Kent. We have recently extended our Regency route into Heathfield, Hailsham and Eastbourne. We also operate the Coaster route and according to Reverend Richard Coles (former band member of The Communards) “The number twelve from Eastbourne to Brighton is without any wisp of a doubt the best bus IN THE WORLD.”

We’d really like to make sure everyone attending the event are aware of these fantastic services and can help us encourage more people to travel by bus and leave the car at home.
